This sounds like a cool little effect to add to the arsenal of any deck miracles. I’m also a big fan of tricks that happen completely in their hands.

One of my favorite card tricks that happens in their hands is from Art of Astonishment, the classic “Las Vegas Leaper.” Sooo good!

One of my favorite tricks is This N’ That. This N’ That is a simple but effective card trick. The Card Trick Is Almost Relaxing To Watch For Spectator As You are only telling a story with three cards. You can perform this for one person or for a whole group of people.

A Short Explanation:

The trick only needs 3 cards. One that says “This”, One that says “That” and A secret one which says “Other”. The trick (When your watching it) looks confusing. At the start you show three cards, Two Of “This” and One Of “That”. The trick goes on to show that actually all the cards are “This” and then goes on to show they are all in fact “That”. The trick has a suprising climax in which you reveal the secret card “Other.

The main strong point is the revealing of the “Other” card because it seemed you showed all the cards already.

This is a simple card trick and is easy to learn.

My favourite card trick to perform is Bill Malones ‘Sam the Bellhop’. You can tell different stories by revealing the cards in a different order. You can also personalise it by using the spectators names and details.

At the moment my favourite all-round trick is sponge balls. I use Pat Page’s routines from the ‘Secret Seminars’ dvd set. I also combine it with Trevor Duffy’s ‘Smokey Magic’ for the strongest effect. When the sponge balls ‘dissolve’ or ‘materialise’ with smoke, the spectators gasp in amazement. This is especially nice if you perform a 2-handed vanish with your hands either side of their closed hand (holding a spongeball). You can even pull your sleeves up after to show theres nothing there ;)
